One of my dear friends, Gabe Lowery, left the earth this past weekend. I will never be able to find the words to describe how wonderful a man he was. Suffice it to say that he created enough joy in his lifetime to fill several. He was funny, kind, compassionate, creative. He may be gone, but his influence will linger.

When we were all little, Gabe would protect us from his brother when we played kissing tag, and in return we would kiss him. He was smart!
 

Nina wore panties all day today (except for her nap). She and Larry took a long walk, on which Larry says she was "the girl who cried potty." But no accidents!
