What is wilson silverleaf? We're organitarians; it's best for our bodies and the planet. We cloth diapered Nina for the same reason. We drive a hybrid car & wish we could afford solar panels on our house. I'm a strong advocate for homebirth, full-time mom, & also a movie junkie. We don't have a tv though; we watch dvds on our computer. We love contradancing. I garden & knit; Larry's a puzzle lover & plays fantasy football.

I giggled when I saw this one

hospital wing

Larry and Nina both have a flu bug. They've spent the day snuggling and napping together; it's really sweet

I, on the other hand, am going bonkers stuck in the house. My rule of thumb is that I won't take Nina anywhere until it has been 24 hours since she threw up (cross your fingers for tomorrow). It doesn't help that it has been raining all day, which has a significant effect on my mood.

lovely husband

I was supposed to get up with Nina this morning, but I hung out with a bunch of other mamas last night and somehow it was 1:30 by the time I got home. When I got into bed I gave Larry a big hug, and when he woke up I asked him if he needed me to get up early still. He said, "Of course not." What a man.

--papa, your baby is awake! this upon waking from a nap

gina & joe got married!

My sister in law Gina got married in Key West on New Year's Eve. Click here for my pics of the wedding weekend.

I went out later on New Year's Eve, and boy was that an experience. I really don't ever need to do that again ("that" being placing myself in an overcrowded street with way too many drunk people). It was quite an experience.

Nina loves to fill any available bag with...everything. One day she took all the pieces from all her puzzles and put them in a bag. It took longer than you might think to sort them out!

I have been seriously slacking. I need to write about our trip to Florida for my sister-in-law's wedding, at the very least...I will do it soon.

In the meantime, check out my debut over at
