Possible biological explanation for C-section-linked allergies and asthma found

Scientists believe they may have identified a biological explanation for the link between cesarean-section delivery and risk of allergy and asthma in childhood. They will present their findings at the American Thoracic Society's 2008 International Conference in Toronto on Tuesday, May 20.

ooh...i'm glad you posted this because it reminds me i have a friend who had a c-section with her first and wants a vbac but her dr. is giving her a hard time and i meant to ask you about resources/support to try and make this happen...you can e-mail me or reply here if you think others would benefit...thanks! denise

I would recommend attending an ICAN meeting. I think for many it clarifies what they need to do to get a VBAC if they really want one.
