turkey's in
Even though I knew I was going to be without Nina and Larry for Thanksgiving, I still ordered an organic turkey. I was planning to eat alone, but before you know it, I had invited my mom and her girlfriend, then my friend Naomi and her daughter, and Tracy is coming too.
Though I was asleep by 10:15 last night I managed to sleep until 9:00 this morning, I must have really needed it. I took a little while to get going this morning, then took the turkey out of the fridge, made stuffing, and it's safely in the oven, stuffed in every cavity I could find with gluten-free stuffing. Keep it simple, don't go across the cul-de-sac and invite the neighbors who don't have a roof because they are adding another storey onto their house. Gotta keep reminding myself. May not have the self restraint, though.
Also? Must not forget to eat some food, haven't eaten yet today and it's already noon. I need Nina for structure in my life, that girl never forgets to eat and reminds me to. I was a complete idiot in Whole Foods yesterday, I didn't know how to shop without my partner in crime.
My big exciting plan for today is to neaten, de-clutter, and de-box every room in the house--I know I don't have time to actually clean, but cleaning is easier when it's neat, I think. And I can think better when my surroundings are neat.
Oh yes, I have so many things I'm thankful for; if I have time I will do a photo roundup like I did last year.

Oh, I am so jealous!! I am the same way. Love to have my "alone time". And I have literally been fantasizing about having my husband take all three kids away for a week and allowing me to declutter my house.
The de-clutter fairy must have thought that was YOU wishing!!
Ah well...
You know you have been living in a mess too long when you fantasize about what a luxury it would be to have your kids leave so you can clean. SIGH!!!!
Gluten Free Stuffing? I MUST know! How good is it?
I want a weekend alone to declutter. OMG...it's almost too much to think about. I'm overwhelmed.
Hope you have a fabulous time!
If you have some time to meet in the evening (I get some nights off) - I'd love to continue our conversations we have at La Jolla shores but without toddlers on our backs :)

It was pretty good, Amber, I used this bread:http://www.wellnessgrocer.com/food-for-life-bread-white-rice-wf-p-1918.html
It's a little too sweet for my taste and got a little mushy but it meant that my mom got to eat it so it was ok.
