are these people serious?
Especially the second one. And if he was an arab...then he wouldn't make a good president?

What is wilson silverleaf? We're organitarians; it's best for our bodies and the planet. We cloth diapered Nina for the same reason. We drive a hybrid car & wish we could afford solar panels on our house. I'm a strong advocate for homebirth, full-time mom, & also a movie junkie. We don't have a tv though; we watch dvds on our computer. We love contradancing. I garden & knit; Larry's a puzzle lover & plays fantasy football.

While I am not voting for McCain, I have to say I am really impressed how he handled these folks. Unfortunately, it is the McCain machine that caused them to feel this way in the first place.
Yes if he was Arab he would not make a good President for the US.
As a woman you should know why.
I don't think it's fair to say that all arabs are opposed to equal right. It's a gross generalization that is part of the reason that many won't vote for Obama.
Since we are making gross generalizations, I think it is only fair to say...as a woman, I know why I do not want Palin as Vice President.
I does go to show you what kind of people are drawn to the McCain ticket. Granted, I'm sure their are plenty of crazies voting for Obama, but so far nothing like the hate speech that I've heard hurled at Obama has come at McCain.
And, um, if he was Arab by birth then he couldn't legally be the president. If he was second generation (or beyond) then you could trust that the country he grew up in would have left a mark on his politics.
Of course, he's not, so it's a moot point, but come on people. It is deeply racist to suggest that all Arabs are misogynist.
And I don't want Palin as a VP either. She scares the crap out of me.
Oh what a scary world we live in. How can these people be so insanely uninformed!?!
Did you know Ralph Nader is an Arab American?
On that note, so is Paul Anka, Frank Zappa, Jamie Farr, Danny Thomas, Marlo Thomas, Vince Vaughn, Tony Shalhoub, F. Murray Abraham, Kathy Najimi, Christa McAuliffe, etc.
So was Maj. Gen. Fred Safay who fought alongside Gen. Patton, and Brig. Gen. Elias Stevens served on Gen. Eisenhower’s staff.
Congressmen Nick Joe Rahall II (West Virginia), Ray LaHood (Illinois), Charles Boustany (Louisiana), Darrell Issa (California), Senator John E. Sununu (New Hampshire) and former Congressman John Baldacci who is now the Governor of Maine.
Anonymous, do you think these folks all feel women should be "kept down"?? (But I agree with you that as a woman I don't want Palin either! YIKES!)
Just sayin'.
